ABOUT THE ACADEMY
The Wyoming Academy is designed to connect and grow leaders who are building resilient communities in Wyoming. The program includes three in-person sessions across Wyoming highlighting both large and small communities. Participants can also expect personal and professional development opportunities to assist you in moving the ball forward on an idea or project. This program was created through a collaboration between the Wyoming Business Council and Leadership Wyoming. Both organizations will play a significant role in its execution.

BUSINESS TOURS AND COMMUNITY NETWORKING
Sessions will offer hands-on learning experiences through business and industry tours. Meet with community leaders who have managed economic development projects. Learn valuable lessons through their experiences and knowledge.
technical learning
"Sometimes you have to re-think the things you thought you thought through." - Winnie the Pooh. Expect to learn a few new tricks of the trade when it comes to economic development, communication, strategy, and leadership.
peer learning group
Your group of peers within The Academy will serve as a sounding board and peer mentors on projects and initiatives.
a commitment to action
Following each session you will have tangible areas of application to support your local team in solving community challenges. Along the way, The Academy will also give you the resources and connections you need to succeed.
executive coaching
All participants will receive two sessions of executive coaching as well as access to the gold-standard personality inventory, the Hogan Personality Assessment. Learn about your super powers and how you get in the way of your own success.
FACILITATORS & STAFF
This dedicated team will guide The Academy participants on their journey. In addition to the team below being at all in-person meetings, participants can expect to hear from dozens of industry and topic experts throughout the course of the program.

tuition
Tuition is $1,000 plus lodging and travel. Tuition scholarships are available, particularly for individuals serving on boards or in local government roles. Inquire with staff to apply for these scholarships.
class selection
Approximately 30 applicants will be selected for the Wyoming Academy Class of 2024 to represent a broad range of geography, industry, experience, and perspectives. This is a highly competitive process that will take approximately 50% Leadership Wyoming graduates and 50% non-graduates. All applicants will be notified by late March of 2024.
attendance
Attendance is required at all sessions. Please do not apply for the program if you cannot attend all sessions. We know emergencies arise and will permit up to two days of absence.
