To provide leaders who are committed to excellence and progress in Wyoming the opportunity to better understand general public policy issues, economic and social diversity and the challenges facing our state; and to prepare them, through shared mutual interests and the leadership skills developed, to be active in building a better Wyoming.
Following completion of the program, participants are expected to stay active in Leadership Wyoming, enhancing their leadership experience and helping to strength the program for the future. Please consider this ongoing commitment as you apply for the program.

Selection, Tuition and Funding
The application deadline is Monday, April 1, 2019 and must be accompanied by a $30 non-refundable application fee. The application fee may be paid via debit/credit card or check. The notification and acceptance process completion date will be late May of 2019. The acceptance letter for the Class of '20 members is accompanied by a Commitment Agreement which is due back to the Leadership Wyoming office within two weeks of notification of acceptance.
The $3,000 tuition for Leadership Wyoming includes all course materials, most session meals, session tours, etc. Participants are responsible for their own transportation and lodging for each session. Full tuition is due by Friday, June 7, 2019, as indicated in the Commitment Agreement, paid by you, your sponsor or employer. No portion of the tuition is refundable.
Tuition assistance, based on need, is granted to those chosen persons or organizations that are unable to meet the tuition requirements. Full tuition scholarships are rare, and the individual or employer should still plan to pay part of the tuition and all of the lodging/transportation costs. Candidates for Leadership Wyoming must be concerned about the future of the state and be committed to personal involvement in shaping Wyoming's future. In order to accomplish Leadership Wyoming's objectives and to maximize your learning experience and teamwork with other class members, your dedication and active participation are essential. Therefore, each participant is expected to attend all sessions. The total number of allowable absences (whether planned or emergency) is 2.5 days of the program. Anyone missing more than two and a half days may be asked to withdraw from the program and no portion of the tuition shall be refunded. Participation at Orientation, Retreat, Graduation and a class project are mandatory.
Full support and encouragement from the applicant's employer or organization (unless self-nominated) is required in terms of financial commitment and/or the time to participate effectively in Leadership Wyoming.
